The main law of the state – the Constitution, was adopted on the morning of June 28, 1996 after the continuous work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Since then, we have a state guarantee that Ukraine is for the people, but not the other way around.
The President of Ukraine, assuming the high post of the head of state, takes an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people, laying his hands on the Constitution and the Peresopnytsia Gospel.
